Existing between painting and sculpture, the Mevlana Lipp’s work explores the mysteries of the natural world through hybridisations of humans and plants. Central to Lipp's practice is his ability to create otherworldly compositions that challenge the perception of space.
Mevlana Lipp (b.1989, Cologne, Germany) lives in Leverkusen and works in Düsseldorf. He graduated from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2015. Solo exhibitions include: Fluidum, Andersen’s Contemporary: The Other Space, Copenhagen; Calypso, Public Gallery, London; and Eden, KuK Gallery, Cologne.
